The PVC bladder works by using hydrostatic pressure to simulate structural loads. In use, the foldable blue PVC bladder is placed under a bridge bearing or support and gradually filled with water. As the bladder inflates, it applies an even pressure across the structure. Because water has a relatively low density, the filled bladder is lighter and easier to handle than solid weights. The even pressure from the filled bladder helps eliminate non‑elastic deformations in the foundation and supports, assisting in controlling the bridge geometry.
Reinforcement frame: Polyester ropes are sewn around the bladder's edges.
The rope frame distributes tension evenly, limiting over-expansion and maintaining a stable shape.
